There will be raffles, games and more! All proceeds benefit the Y's Annual Fund.

Lights, Camera, Action! We're about to have a blockbuster of a DANCE PARTY! Join us Friday, March 1 from 5:30-7:30 for a fun-filled movie soundtracked dance based MEGA group exercise class with some of your favorite instructors leading the way. The proceeds of this party will support our Livestrong at the YMCA programs for cancer survivors.

Occupational therapist Taber Hilton will be presenting how to stay "Hand Healthy". Common hand and wrist injuries as well as treatments, adaptive equipment, pain management tips and resources.

Presenters: Jen McLaughlin, MGB PT and Allison Snyder, MGB PT

Unlocking the benefits of pelvic floor exercise and healthy bowel and bladder habits.  Learn why it is important to have heathy bowel and bladder habits.  We will also talk about the correct way to perform a pelvic floor contraction (kegel) to help with urinary and bowel control.

Member Workshop Series: Gait and Balance Training
Wednesday, January 10 11am-12pm
Presenters: Jarrett Maggio and Amy Peterson

Jarrett, Orthopedic PT, and Amy, Neurological PT, will be presenting on fall risk and gait training. These therapists will address factors that can influence the risk of falls and ways to test them. Therapists will provide strategies of fall prevention as well as discussing aging norms, treatments, and resources. 

You are invited to a Wells Ave Y Open House in celebration of Wells Ave Y’s first birthday! Join us on Friday, December 15, 2023 for facility tours, free classes, full facility use, swim, pickleball, and all day sports. There will be refreshments, prizes, and open house all day! Friday December 15th operating hours are 5:30am – 9:00pm. Located at 135 Wells Ave, Newton, MA 02459.

Your generous donations were incredible last year, and we are eager to see the amazing impact we can make together once again. Drop off your food items at the designated area in our facilities and help us fill the pantry shelves!
