How to Register for Summer Camp

Online Registration for Summer Camp is the fastest and easiest way to register! If you prefer, we do accept hard copy registration forms at our main branch. Please download the registration forms from our website, or pick them up at the West Suburban YMCA, and return to the Camping Services office right off the main lobby.
 

  1. Choose your camp(s) and sessions. Browse through our brochure or speak to a member of the Camping Services Team to help discover which camp is right for your camper!
  2. If you have used the West Suburban YMCA's Online Registration system for before, please Sign In.  If you are new to the West Suburban YMCA, please choose "Create an Account" and follow the instructions on screen.
  3. Day Camp session fees are determined by your West Suburban YMCA membership status: Family Members, Youth Member or Non-Members. Please verify your Membership Status once you have logged in to our Online Registration system.
  4. Search for your desired camp and session and Register with a $100 deposit per session for Chickami and Pikati and $350 for Camp Frank A Day.

Returning Families

We are continuing to use CampSite to manage camper forms, health information, family communications, and our camp blogs!
 

New Families

Within 1-2 weeks of registration you will receive 2 emails. One welcoming you to CampSite and the other providing your log in information.  All CampSite forms are due by  June 1, 2021.  Registrations will not be considered complete and children will not be able to attend until all forms and documents are provided.

PAYMENT POLICIES FOR CAMP FRANK A DAY

Deposits:

  • A $350 deposit is required for each day camp session you wish to reserve at the time of registration. 
  • The deposit is applied to the total balance due for each session.
  • All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Refund and Cancellations:

If camp is unable or elects not to open camp due to government regulations, or if camp chooses not to open at its own discretion, you will receive a full refund, including your deposit, without penalty. 
Should a family decide to cancel on their own, the below cancellation policies will apply:  

  • Cancel before April 1, 2021 – 100% program fees paid are refundable, less non-refundable deposit* 
  • Cancel on or after April 1, 2021 – 50% program fees paid are refundable, less non-refundable deposit* 
  • Cancel within 30 days of program start date – No refund, except in the case of medical necessity (documentation required).*

Billing, Payment Plans and Financial Aid:

Upon registering and paying the $350 non-refundable administrative deposit per camper per session, families will have three options for payment:  

  • Payment in full at the time of registration  
  • The two-payment plan (50% on April 15 & 50% on May 15)  
  • Individualized payment plan with the West Suburban YMCA Camping Services Branch. Please contact Camp Registrar, Marie Minardi for details.

PAYMENT POLICIES FOR CAMP PIKATI AND CHICKAMI

Deposits:

  • A $100 deposit is required for each day camp session you wish to reserve at the time of registration. 
  • The deposit is applied to the total balance due for each session.
  • All deposits are refundable until April 1st.

Refund and Cancellations Day Camps:

  • Changes and cancellation requests must be submitted in writing one month prior to the Session start date and sent directly to Camping Services to be considered for a refund (minus the deposit).
  • Refund requests received later than one month to the start date will only be considered for serious medical reasons causing camper withdrawal upon written advice from a physician.
  • Campers, who arrive late, depart early, or miss days are not granted pro-rated fees or refunds.
  • The Y reserves the right to retain camp fees for campers who decide they do not like camp, has minor illness, are homesick, are removed from camp for disciplinary reasons, and/or change of family plans.
  • The balance for each session is due 1 month prior to the session start date.
  • If an camper has an outstanding balance with the West Suburban YMCA, it must be paid in full prior to registration.
  • Financial assistance is available and can be applied for on a confidential basis. Please download the Financial Assistance Application and return to Marie Minardi in our Camping Services Office. For more information, contact Marie Minardi
