Summer 2020 Covid-19 Policies

Some of our policies have changed this summer due to COVID-19. Please see our updated payment and cancellation policies for 2020.


Your balance is due the Monday prior to your session start date.


Families have one week prior to the session start date to cancel and receive a full refund. You must contact in order to request cancellation. Please let us know as soon as possible if you plan on cancelling.

How to Register for Summer Camp

This information is also available in Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.

Online Registration for Summer Camp is the fastest and easiest way to register! If you prefer, we do accept hard copy registration forms at our main branch. Please download the registration forms from our website, or pick them up at the West Suburban YMCA, and return to the Camping Services office right off the main lobby. 

  1. Choose your camp(s) and sessions. Browse through our brochure or speak to a member of the Camping Services Team to help discover which camp is right for your camper!

  2. If you have used the West Suburban YMCA's Online Registration system for before, please Sign In.  If you are new to the West Suburban YMCA, please choose "Create an Account" and follow the instructions on screen.

  3. Day Camp session fees are determined by your West Suburban YMCA membership status: Family Members, Youth Member or Non-Members. Please verify your Membership Status once you have logged in to our Online Registration system.

  4. Search for your desired camp and session and Register with a $100 deposit per session.

Returning Families

We are continuing to use CampSite to manage camper forms, health information, family communications, and our camp blogs!  

New Families

Within 1-2 weeks of registration you will receive 2 emails. One welcoming you to CampSite and the other providing your log in information.  All CampSite forms are due by  June 1, 2020.  Registrations will not be considered complete and children will not be able to attend until all forms and documents are provided.  


Payment Policies

Please read carefully as some of our policies have changed:


  • A $100 deposit is required for each session you wish to reserve at the time of registration. 

  • The deposit is applied to the total balance due for each session.

  • All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. 


Refund and Cancellations

  • Changes and cancellation requests must be submitted in writing one month prior to the Session start date and sent directly to Camping Services to be considered for a refund (minus the deposit).

  • Refund requests received later than one month to the start date will only be considered for serious medical reasons causing camper withdrawal upon written advice from a physician.

  • Campers, who arrive late, depart early, or miss days are not granted pro-rated fees or refunds.

  • The Y reserves the right to retain camp fees for campers who decide they do not like camp, has minor illness, are homesick, are removed from camp for disciplinary reasons, and/or change of family plans.


Billing, Payment Plans and Financial Aid

  • The balance for Sessions Opening Week A through Session 4 are due June 1st 2020.

  • The balance for Sessions 5 through Closing week are due July 1st 2020.

  • If an camper has an outstanding balance with the West Suburban YMCA, it must be paid in full prior to registration.

  • Financial assistance is available and can be applied for on a confidential basis. Please download the Financial Assistance Application and return to Marie Minardi in our Camping Services Office. For more information, contact Marie Minardi
