WSYMCA Receives $10K Grant for Early Childhood Education

The West Suburban YMCA announced that it has received a $10,000 Grant for Good from Eastern Bank, America’s oldest and largest mutual bank. The grant is part of a $1 million commitment Eastern has made to local nonprofit organizations strengthening options for children and families across Eastern’s New England footprint.

This excursion was part of Togetherhood, the Y’s volunteer program intended to connect people from all backgrounds to plan and carry out volunteer projects that address a real need in our community.

Warm weather has returned to our area and with it has come the devastating tragedies involving children drownings.  Drownings have already occurred with a 5-year old in a pool in Medford; 9 year old in a lake in Hopkinton, and a 14 year old in a pond in Clinton.  At the West Suburban YMCA, our thoughts and prayers go out to these families and want our community to understand that drowning is PR
