Registration is open for the West Suburban YMCA’s summer camp season. Y camps offer kids an engaging environment where they build confidence, make new friends, feel a sense of belonging, and create memories that will last a lifetime. The West Suburban YMCA offers three summer camps: Camp Pikati, Camp Chickami, and Camp Frank A. Day.

Last January on MLK Day of Service, we collected and packed hundreds of household items into “blessing bags” for clients of The Second Step, who provides essential services for families dealing with domestic violence. It was a great success and left us excited to do more in 2021.

The Y community hit the ground running earlier this month, participating in the Virtual Ugly Sweater 5k! Donning ugly holiday sweaters, over 60 participants ran, walked, or hiked the 5k distance from both near and far – as close as right here in Newton and as far away as Colorado.
