The West Suburban YMCA and Bentley University are participating in the federally-funded Summer Food Service Program, known in Massachusetts as Summer Eats, to provide free meals to children ages 18 and under when school is not in session.

West Suburban YMCA Selected as a Stop & Shop Community Bag Program Beneficiary for Month of July

The West Suburban YMCA has been selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program for the month of July. The Y will receive a $1.00 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at one of two designated locations during the month of July.

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Centre Street Food Pantry (CSFP) with a co-worker and two West Suburban YMCA members. This excursion was part of Togetherhood, the Y’s volunteer program intended to connect people from all backgrounds to plan and carry out volunteer projects that address a real need in our community.
