We are grateful to announce that we have just been awarded a $38,100 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through the City of Newton. These funds support financial aid for Newton residents attending our preschool and Out-of-School Time programs. This is our fourth CDBG grant since early 2021, amounting to $186,600 which has enabled even more children to grow and thrive at the Y. With CDBG funds, we have been able to increase our maximum subsidy for childcare financial aid from 30% to 60%, a critical difference for families facing continued economic challenges due to COVID-19.
