The West Suburban YMCA announced its newly elected Board of Directors at their Annual Celebration & Awards Dinner held at the Newton Marriott on Thursday, May 16th. The celebration marked the organization’s 142nd anniversary in the city of Newton.

Ned Morse will lead the volunteer board efforts for the Y for the next two years as Board Chair. “The Y is a cornerstone of the Newton community, connecting people of all backgrounds through programs and services that improve health & well-being and nurture potential,” said Morse. “I’m looking forward to working with the board and staff to deliver the Y’s strategic visions of preparing today’s youth for success in school, career and life; providing a thriving camp program that is sustainable for future generations and building a supportive environment for board member engagement.”

West Suburban YMCA President & CEO, Jack Fucci, commented “Ned has the institutional knowledge of the local community, our YMCA association and camping services that will complement the skills and talents of our board and guide our Y over the next several years. His past participation on the board has been invaluable, and I am looking forward to partnering with Ned during his term as chair to further strengthen our Y and youth serving programs as a priority.”
