Wellness Center Information

Members Only: The facility is open to West Suburban YMCA members. No guests or nationwide reciprocity members are permitted at this time. If you'd like to workout at the West Suburban YMCA, you can schedule a tour and become a member; We have no joining fee, no contract, and no cancellation fee!

New Layout for Equipment: To promote social distancing and allow for plenty of personal space, we've moved and rearranged equipment in several areas.

  • Stretching Room: The free weight area is now located in the stretching room.
  • Spin Studio: Please use this space as the new streching room (Mats are not available - please bring your own).
  • Gymnasium Court B: Cardio equipment including elliptical machines and rowing machines are located here.
  • Cardio Deck: The cardio deck been rearranged and spaced out. Some equipment or machines may be unavailable.

BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat): Some training items have been removed from the fitness floor, including mats and ropes. If you need a mat, please plan to bring your own.

Group Exercise Classes

In-Person Classes: Outdoor & Indoor Fitness

  • Limited to 9-15 participants (West Suburban YMCA members only) depending on the class.
  • Reservations are required to attend a group exercise class at the Y. Register here.
  • You can sign up for a class no more than 48 hours ahead of time and up to 1 hour before the class starts.
  • You must check in at the Welcome Center prior to the start of the class.
  • Masks are encouraged but not required outside as long as participants are socially distanced. Masks ARE required inside the West Suburban YMCA building when you check in or taking an indoor class.

Live Virtual Classes

Not ready to return to the Y in person yet? Virtual classes are held in realtime on the Zoom platform by the Y instructors you know and love. To join a virtual class on Zoom, visit our group exercise schedule and click the title of the virtual class you'd like to join. This will expand a description that includes the Zoom link to register and connect to the class.
