ALL CPAs and the West Suburban YMCA: A Longtime Partnership

ALL CPAs has been a longtime supporter of the Y. Chris O’Day, Director of Marketing, shared with us the deep roots of this important partnership:

For ALL CPAs, a midsize CPA firm in Chestnut Hill, MA, the firm’s involvement with the Y can be traced back to one man: Dave Abrams. Dave was a partner with ALL CPAs (then Abrams, Little-Gill, Loberfeld, Tishman & Witty PC) and a longtime member and supporter of the West Suburban YMCA.

When Dave passed away in 2002, Don Cohen, an ALL partner, became involved with the Y to honor the memory of his mentor and friend. “I became involved with the Y because a former partner, Dave Abrams, used to go to the Y every day, and it was kind of a nice thing to think about him by being involved,” said Cohen.

ALL CPAs became an annual sponsor of the West Suburban YMCA, and Don joined the golf committee to support fundraising efforts for the Y. Through his involvement Don realized the crucial role the Y plays to support the community. He said, “Over the years, I’ve learned about their different programs the Y performs, especially with children, and how they help the families, even if the families cannot afford the programs. These programs are essential to the community and I think it’s a great thing that ALL is supporting the Y.”

In addition to supporting the YMCA, ALL has an active Community Social Responsibility committee that holds annual toy drives, volunteers at soup kitchens, participates in the Walk for Hunger, and looks for other ways to support the community. “The firm believes we have a responsibility to support local programs that are making our community better. And none better than the YMCA,” added Cohen.
