Camp Frank A. Day: A Typical Day | West Suburban YMCA

Camp Frank A. Day

Most of our campers live in rustic wooden cabins, with no more than nine campers and no less than two counselors per cabin. Our Senior boys live in platform tents - a camp tradition dating back to the first summer in 1916! Cabins and tents have electricity, and showerhouses are located in each unit. Cabin groups are determined by grade, gender and age. Children may request to be with a buddy of the same grade and age. Campers have ample opportunity to spend time with children of other ages, grades and genders during activities throughout the day.

Freshman Unit / Ages 7-10

F1, F2, F3 are traditionally our male cabins and F4, F5, F6 are our female cabins. Each cabin has 2 counselors and between 6-8 campers.
