Give for a Better Us

As a charitable, non-profit organization, the West Suburban YMCA relies on the generosity of our members, volunteers and donors to help us fulfill our promise to strengthen the community. We are committed to our neighbors and to providing a place of security, support and health for all.

Every year, new stories are written at our Y—stories which would not be possible without the generosity of our donors.

Last year:

  • Over $188,000 was awarded in Financial Aid for 928 membership households, including 103 seniors and 83 families.
  • $67,000 supported 52 children in our Preschool and Out-of-School Time programs, including their transportation to arrive safely.
  • $175,000 in “camperships” for 165 children to attend Camp Pikati, Camp Chickami & Camp Frank A. Day.
  • $11,000 in aid was allocated to 92 swimmers.
  • $4,600 in donations allowed us to offer a reduced rate for our Adaptive Sports programs.
  • 18 families received a three month membership as part of our free LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program for cancer survivors.

Please, make your donation to our Annual Campaign today and help build a better us.

A Story of Us

Every day we support kids, adults of all ages and families with programs that protect, nourish and encourage. It's how we help our community and the "us" who live, work and play here find the power of our full potential.
