Jack Fucci

The West Suburban YMCA welcomed Jack as its President and CEO in September of 2014.  He joined our Y after serving as Executive Director for the YMCA of Greater Boston and leading the Y’s in Brighton and Waltham, MA. Jack has 30 years in the health, wellness and hospitality industries, 15 of which have been in the YMCA movement.  He has led volunteer boards and staff teams that have resulted in significant organizational growth in membership, philanthropy, partnerships and community impact.  In his time with the Y, his accomplishments have included building the first standalone teen center in Brighton, launching an inclusive health and wellness program that serves individuals of all abilities and creating a Martin Luther King day of service event that supports families living in shelters. 
 
Jack is leading our new strategic planning initiative. In his short time here, he has led an aggressive period of fundraising and reinvestment that has resulted in the resurgence of our resident camp, Frank A. Day, in E. Brookfield, MA as well as membership and participation growth at our Newton facility.
 
Jack has a deep commitment to inclusion and community service locally and nationally. He is involved with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission Advisory Board, City of Newton Children’s Cabinet, YUSA CEO Strategic Planning Advisory Committee, Newton Rotary and the Newton/Needham Chamber of Commerce.

Trevor Williams

Vice President of Operations

Trevor joined the team here at the West Suburban YMCA in September 2015 after a long career working for the YMCA of Central Massachusetts.  As the Head of Operations for our Y, Trevor is focused on the experience you have each time you visit us.  He oversees the Facilities, Marketing, Membership, Aquatics, Wellness, Sports, Family Services and Creative Arts departments.  In addition, Trevor manages Newton Corner Place; our 28 room, single occupancy resident hall. 
Trevor would tell you he enjoys discussing the operations of the Y with members and staff.  He likes to try new ideas and experiment in small ways to improve the Y experience.  Trevor managed and led the recent renovations completed in 2016. In interviewing Trevor, you come away feeling his energy, passion and enthusiasm for our Y and sense his passion to continue to develop the staff and programs we offer.

Laura Snow

As The Director of Human Resources, Laura leads Human Resources practices and objectives that provide an employee-oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards; goal attainment and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.  She oversees the development and implementation of talent management/ human resources policies, as well as plans and services including recruitment, selection, legal compliance, employee benefits, compensation, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, employment practices and procedures, and employee communications and events.

Kevin Johnson

Resident Services Coordinator

Kevin join the WSY in March 2017 and brings extensive community leadership and project management experience having most recently served as Massachusetts Program Manager with Teach Plus.  In his role at Teach Plus, Kevin coordinated professional development programs to help teachers improve their practice and instruction for urban students.  Prior to that Kevin served as the Community Life Operations Manager with The Community Builders Inc.(TCB).  While at TCB Kevin was charged with managing and strengthening a national portfolio of programs in the goal of achieving neighborhood and resident success.  A NeighborWorks® America recipient of the 2013 National Award for Excellence in Community Building and Organizing, Kevin co-founded HICCUP® (Healthy Initiatives Collaborative Community University Partnership) at UMASS Boston and is a member of Big Brother Association of Greater Boston.  A graduate of Springfield College School of Human Services, Kevin has certificates in community engagement, trauma response and nonviolent crisis intervention.

In his role at the Y, Kevin is responsible for coordinating and implementing the resident services program for Newton (NCP) Corner Place; our 28 room single occupancy resident hall located at the WSY.  One of his main responsibilities is help residents maintain their housing and connect them with supports and resources. Kevin also works closely with Newton Community Development Foundation (NCDF) to ensure the smooth transition of residents into Newton Corner Place and how to positively navigate within the WSY property. 

Christie Caporale-Bilotto

Christie has been the Administrative Assistant at the West Suburban YMCA since March 2015. Her duties include providing clerical support to the President’s office and Board of Directors as well as assisting the Human Resources Department. Prior to her current position, Christie worked for a non-profit arts organization in Scottsdale, Arizona. She holds her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ashford University. In addition to her administrative duties at the Y, you can also find Christie on the group exercise schedule, teaching yoga twice a week.

Amanda began working at the WSYMCA in October of 2006. As the Aquatics Director, she develops and administers a variety of aquatics programming here at the Y. In her spare time Amanda likes to experiment with recipes in the kitchen and travel.

Kelly Finn

Assistant Director of Aquatics

Kelly started working at the WSYMCA in April of 2014.  She been a lifeguard and swim instructor for 17 years. Kelly has been certified under USA Swim for 13 years and has been a lifeguarding Instructor for 5 years. Kelly started playing in her grandparent’s backyard pool as a baby and has been swimming ever since.  She started swimming on her local town team at 8-years-old and started on a club swim team at age 10.  Kelly continued swimming competitively through high school, but had to stop in college due to a knee injury.  As soon as she was old enough she began working as a lifeguard and swim instructor at her local recreation department, where she stayed until she joined our team. When she is not working at the Y, Kelly enjoys spending time with my family, traveling and going to the beach.

Alexa Serafine

Alexa started working at the West Suburban YMCA in June 2015. She helps oversee the aquatics department. Alexa he has been a certified lifeguard for the past eight years and has been a lifeguard instructor for the past two years. Alexa has her B.S. in Movement and Sports Studies from Springfield College. In her spare time she enjoys going to the beach and reading.

Scott Peckins

Scott Peckins has over 25 years of Recreation/Leisure Services education and experience. Scott has worked at the YMCA for more than 16 years, both internationally and domestically. He spent eight years working for the YMCA of Metro Washington Association as Executive Director of YMCA Camp Letts, was the CEO of the City of Dublin YMCA, the Executive Director of the Cheshire YMCA and presently is the Executive Director of Camping Services here at the WSYMCA.

Keri Person

Director of Camping Operations

Keri joined the YMCA movement as a high school student working in summer camp and afterschool programs with the Y of Metro North. She began her professional career with the Y of Greater Boston where she served in a variety of capacities within the realm youth development, most recently as the Director of Youth and Family Services.  Keri joined the West Suburban team in March of 2015 as the Director of Operations for the Camping Services Branch.   She has a breadth of knowledge of governmental agencies and compliance organizations including the Department of Public Health, Department of Public Safety and Department of Labor as well as Early Education Care and the American Camping Association.

Bill St. Martin

Camp Frank A. Day Facility Manager

Bill joined the Y as Camp Frank A. Day's Facility Manager in May 2017 after many years experience in facility management and construction - ranging from a local Sturbridge campground to construction and contracting companies and roofing/ gutter company.  His vast experience and expertise ranges from building new homes, to electrical and plumbing work, to heating and air conditioning as well as painting and carpentry.  Bill is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of Camp Frank A. Day, our overnight camp in East Brookfield, MA.. Bill is passionate about what he does and loves to work outdoors on a daily basis.

Eddie Szeman has worked in camping services and environmental education for nine years. He first joined the Y movement by working for seven years at the YMCA Camp Thunderbird in Lake Wylie, South Carolina. Eddie then traveled north to work three summers for a private camp in Poland, ME.

 
Since joining the West Suburban YMCA, Eddie has worked in Membership Services, Aquatics, Child Care and now Camping Services. He also oversees staffing, programming and operations at Camp Chickami.

Georgette Chiasson

Georgette joined the WSYMCA team in October 2016 as the Preschool and Family Services Director. She comes to us with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. Georgette has an extensive background in the early childhood field as well as the YMCA.  She is accomplished in the areas of curriculum development, Head Start, NAEYC accreditation, professional development and training, parent and community engagement and program transformation. She has worked for The Greater Boston YMCA, Merrimack Valley YMCA and the YMCA of Honolulu, Mililani branch in a variety of roles. She currently serves as the President of the Early Childhood Director’s Collaborative a position she has served in for over ten years.  Her interest include travel, the beach and photography.

Jayme joined the West Suburban YMCA in 2004 and over the years she has seen the many changes that the Y has undergone.Through all these years Jayme has stayed in the position she has loved the most, childcare! She is passionate about working with children and looks forward to coming to work each day. Jayme graduated from Lasell College with a Bachelor degree in Psychology and is hoping soon to become EEC certified. In her free time she enjoys reading, painting and hanging out with her very outgoing daughter.

Phil has been with the Y since 2005, starting in our Welcome Center. In his current role as our Training Coordinator, Phil provides the CPR and First Aid training for all YMCA staff, as well as community members. Phil is a certified Massachusetts and Nationaly Registered Emergency Medical Technician who also works on a 911 ambulance for the City of boston. Phil has over 39 years EMS experience. He is also a certified instructor through the American Heart Association, National Safety Council and the American Red Cross.

Caitlin Hoey

Caitlin came to the West Suburban YMCA from a policy/communications internship at The Alliance of Massachusetts YMCAs. She holds a B.A. from Skidmore College in both Psychology and Gender Studies, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Policy from UMass Boston. Caitlin is currently in a Masters of Science program at Tufts University’s School of Medicine in Health Communications. As the Development Associate, she provides administrative and logistical guidance to support the growth of fundraising efforts across the organization. She also takes part in other facets of the organization's progress including prospect research, stewardship and recognition, data entry and reporting, event support and management, online fundraising and other areas as needed.

Chris Meyers

Chris joined the West Suburban Y team in September of 2015 looking for new challenges. He has over 30 years of YMCA work experience in various roles involving the Y movement. He most recently held the position of Chief Financial Officer for the MetroWest YMCA in Framingham for 11 years. 
 
Chris is passionate about technology, constant systems improvements, enhancing the member experience and staff development.
 
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Northeastern University.  Chris grew up in Brighton and as a teen would often play in basketball league games here at the WSYMCA.  Today his free time is dedicated to family, cycling, hiking and weather permitting, having fun at the beach.

Jane Carroll

Jane has been the Health and Wellness Director at the West Suburban YMCA for over 10 years. She's responsible for overseeing the wellness center, personal training program, group exercise schedule, medically based wellness programs such as LiveSTRONG at the Y and other youth, adult and senior health and wellness programming.
 
Jane graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science Degree in  Dietetics and a Master of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education. She's a firm believer that being healthy and fit is a lifestyle that consists of a balanced combination of good nutrition and regular exercise. She loves to personal train and teach group exercise classes. Janes is currently teaching indoor cycling and bootcamp programs.

Kevin O'Connell

Kevin leads the YCCA – YMCA Center for the Creative Arts and teaches music lessons, songwriting and recording workshops, Rock Bands and other group classes. In addition to his educational leadership role, Kevin heads up all community outreach, program design, events and productions. He graduated from The College of Saint Rose with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Industry and has been teaching music for over 10 years.

Jesse Trepiak

Jesse has been a music educator for over 10 years. He teaches guitar, bass and voice. He also teaches Video Production, Music Production and Photography for the YCCA. Jesse grew up in Rome, New York where he got his start as an instructor at the local YMCA. While completing his high school education he managed a private roster of students, taught classes in music theory and performance, and played in several pit bands. Jesse received a bachelor’s degree from the Berklee College of Music concentrating on performance and composition.

As the Sports and Recreation Director, Kim develops and administers sports and recreational programming here at the WSYMCA.  Specifically, her team's goal is to create programming that promotes physical activity, strengthens social skills and creates social opportunities, and encourages participation and sportsmanship.  Further, the programming here at the Y is designed to serve all of the constituencies in the community.

Pat Welch

Under the supervision of the Director of Sports, Patrick is responsible for assisting in planning, development, implementation, expansion and evaluation of youth and adult sport programs. During the summer months, Patrick’s role will shift to Assistant Director of Camp Pikati, focusing on the Sports programming of the Camp.  Patrick’s principle objective is to develop meaningful programs and services in order to fulfill the West Suburban YMCA’s mission.
Prior to his career at the WSYMCA, Patrick has worked as a volunteer Physical Education Teacher/Asst. Athletic Director on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota with the Oglala Lakota.  In that capacity Patrick learned that maintaining a healthy body, positive mind and vibrant spirit is essential to achieve a healthy lifestyle.  Patrick continues his path here at the Y in providing pathways for this community to better understand the importance of living a health filled life while at the same time achieving personal goals as active human beings both on and off the court.

Cindy Brown

Challenge Course Manager / WSBL Team Coordinator

Cindy is a former Health and Physical Education teacher with over 13 years managing and facilitating Adventure-Based programs in school and camp settings.  She joined our WSY staff in 2014 as a climbing instructor and is currently our Challenge Course Manager for all three camps. In addition, she uses her sports background as the WSBL Basketball League Coordinator. In her spare time she enjoys spending time in the outdoors camping, kayaking, hiking and fishing.
