Financial Assistance
No one is turned away from our YMCA due to an inability to pay. With funds raised through our Annual Campaign, we are able to offer financial assistance to all qualified applicants. Awards must be renewed annually and rates are subject to change. Annual memberships must have financial aid awards determined before beginning membership. Temporary memberships are not eligible for financial aid.

*All subsidized membership rates require income verification.
Trust and Verify
Members whose income falls into certain income bracket may utilize our Trust and Verify system to immediately begin their membership at a reduced rate. Simply tell us the number of people that live in your home and what income bracket you believe represents your gross household annual income. The Financial Aid application, available at the Welcome Center desk and on the right side of this page, must be completed and returned with necessary supplemental documents within two weeks of starting membership. New members who do not turn in a complete application within two weeks will revert to the full price monthly dues.
The most common form of income verification is a copy of your most recent tax return (Form 1040 only, W2s are not sufficient).
If, and only if, you are not legally obligated to file taxes, please provide as many of the following documents as you can to verify your household’s income:
- A copy of your most recent bank statement(s) including the deposits page
- One month’s worth of pay stub(s) for all current jobs
- Letter from employer stating rate and frequency of pay
- Statements for all government assistance received (i.e. TAFDC, SSI, DTA, child support, alimony, etc.)
To apply for financial assistance:
- Download the Financial Aid Request Form
- Fill out the request form and return it along with the income verification as instructed on the second page of the request form to the Church Street location. There is a dropbox in the lobby for completed application packets, just before you go through the turnstiles.
We’ll let you know how much you qualify for once your application is processed.
