Hurricane Harvey has left unprecedented flooding and destruction in its wake in Southeast Texas and thousands of those affected are YMCA members or staff. Many Y's in the region sustained significant damage and are currently without power. YMCA's that are operational have become safe havens for the stranded and homeless, places where families and individuals alike can find electricity, a hot shower and a comforting environment.

To help those affected by Hurricane Harvey, we will host a phone-a-thon in partnership with the City of Newton at our YMCA on Thursday, September 7th from 6-8 pm. Volunteers will call for commitments and suggest the agencies listed below as reliable and high-impact organizations to donate to:

Please check our Facebook and Twitter pages regularly for more ways to help those in southeast Texas.
