President's Newsletter - December 2016

December, 2016

As the calendar year comes to end, we tend to reflect on the past year and set new goals for the year ahead. Oftentimes, New Year resolutions are focused on physical transformations or ridding ourselves of bad habits. At the Y, we always encourage people to take care of their physical health, that is a given. Our Y is a great place for you and your family to be physically active together.

For 2017, we'd like to suggest a different resolution for you - one that is achievable and rewarding. Why not consider working on your emotional health by volunteering for the Y - sharing your time and talents and helping us push our critical work of strengthening community forward.

When you volunteer here, you not only enhance your personal well-being, but also take an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change right in your own neighborhood. We invite you to get involved with the Y - as a program volunteer coaching sports or reading to our preschool students; as an event volunteer helping us bring the community together with special activities; or as a fundraising volunteer forming a team to help us to reach our Annual Campaign goal.

Whatever your interest, if you want to give your emotions a boost in 2017, ask us about volunteering. For more information on ways to get involved, please contact Christie Caporale-Bilotto.

We are thankful that you are part of our Y family and wish you the healthiest and happiest holiday season.
