Out-of-School Time

Enrollment Options & Policies

**Please note the information on this page is subject to change pending modifications to the Newton Public Schools academic schedule.**

Enrollment is ongoing and children can enroll any time of year, provided there is space in the program.

To register, fill out the enrollment form and return it to Seamus Bruno via email (seamusb@wsymca.org). 

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

For a child to enroll in the Live Y’ers Afterschool/Out-of-School Time they need to:

  • Attend Kindergarten through 8th grade.
  • Have a current West Suburban YMCA Youth or Family membership during registration and throughout enrollment in the program.
  • Complete a Live Y’ers Afterschool/Out-of-School Time registration/enrollment packet
  • Deposit a Non-Refundable $200 payment, which will be credited to your child’s first tuition payment.
  • Submit a current physical dated no later than 12 months from enrollment (physical must remain current at all times while child is enrolled)
  • A copy of your child’s current immunizations
  • Allergy/Chronic Illness: If your child has an allergy or chronic illness an Individual Health Care Form is required before your child can start in the program.

Please note that this documentation is required by the Department of Early Education and Care through the State of Massachusetts and your child may not start the program until the documentation is obtained.

ENROLLMENT OPTIONS & TUITION

Days Hours Rates
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3:30-6:00 PM $50/day
Wednesday (NPS half days) 1:00-6:00 PM $60/day
Full Time (M-F)   $240/week

Transportation

  • Transportation to the Y from Burr, Bowen, Cabot, Franklin, Horace-Mann, Mason-Rice, Zervas, Bigelow, and Lincoln-Eliot schools is available via bus for a fee of $7/day.
  • Transportation to the Y from Underwood School is available via chaperoned walking route at no extra charge.

Financial Assistance
Tuition assistance opportunities are available and can be applied for on a confidential basis. We also accept Massachusetts State vouchers.

Sibling Discount: Receive 5% off when enrolling a second child.
