Out-of-School Time

After-school Care for Grades K-8

The West Suburban YMCA’s Out-of-School Time program is committed to making a difference in the lives of every child and family who choose the Y for after-school care.

Our Philosophy

The West Suburban YMCA’s Out-of-School Time program fosters individual cognitive, social-emotional and physical development through opportunities and experiences that focus on achievement, relationships and belonging. Children are encouraged to develop at their own unique rate by encouraging skill development and providing leadership opportunities. Positive peer interaction, cooperation, development of self-respect, self-control, and friendships based on mutual caring and respect are some of our main goals for the development of each student’s social competence.

Our program is inspiring, a place where children play, learn and grow as they develope self-esteem through the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We are committed to serving a wide variety of families without regard to race, creed, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, national origin, family lifestyle, sexual orientation, disability, marital status or financial ability.
