Camp Frank A. Day

Leadership Staff

Stephan Lockney

Camp Director

This is Stephan's first year at Camp Frank A. Day, after 23 years working for the YMCA of Central Massachusetts. As a career YMCA camping professional, Stephan believes that summer camp offers a unique chance for children to build social and emotional skills that help them mature into thriving young adults. His past work at a camp serving special needs populations was recognized by the State of Massachuetts as a Distinguished Program, and he hopes to continue that inclusive-based work with the West Suburban YMCA and Camp Frank A Day. Stephan is excited to learn all the Camp Frank A. Day traditions, along with starting some new traditions and programs for campers to enjoy for years to come.

Molly Rolfe

Assistant Director

Years at CFAD: 12

Molly is originally from Newton, MA, but currently she teaches preschool in Burlington, VT. She is excited to be returning for her 12th summer at CFAD and her second as Asst. Director. In her free time, Molly loves to run, hike and eat dark chocolate. Camp Day is her absolute favorite place in the world, and she cannot wait for another summer of belly laughs, bright sunshine-y days and long meandering walks to and from the Camp Office. She is excited to welcome both new and old campers and staff to the shores!

Mark Ingram

Waterfront Director

Years at CFAD: 13

Mark is the Waterfront Director and as always, he is excited to move back to the shores for another summer - it's number 13 for him! He looks forward to having his assistant Jaclyn helping run the waterfront again, and he knows it's gonna rock. Mark can't wait to see each and every camper having the time of their lives while following all the rules and participating in swim lessons!

Maddie Nelson

Program Director

Years at CFAD: 11

Maddie is originally from Maryland and is currently studying Art History and French at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She spent this past semester studying abroad in Paris, but typically she spends her semesters at Trinity working at a daycare center and as a member of a social sorority on campus. In her free time, Maddie enjoys reading poetry, running and writing letters to faraway friends. This will be her eleventh summer at CFAD, and she is thrilled to be returning to the shores with her friends. Camp Day is near and dear to Maddie's heart — She can’t wait to be back home soon!

Marie Libbin

Freshman Unit Director

Years at CFAD: 13

Marie is a recent graduate of Emerson College where she studied Theatre Education and Acting. She has spent 13 summers at CFAD, and this will be her third as a Unit Director. In her free time, Marie enjoys singing, laughing, writing letters and seeing shows. One of Marie's favorite camp moments in 2017 was Aaron Goff Day! She had the camp dedicate an entire day to Aaron, a freshman unit counselor from England, and everyone celebrated with signs and songs, honoring him as an unsung hero of camp. CFAD is her favorite place in the world and she can't wait for another summer filled with friends who turn into family, songs around the campfire and so much magic!

LeeAnn Rowley

Junior Unit Director

Years at CFAD: 12

LeeAnn is originally from Georgia but she is currently studying business analytics and psychology at The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. A few fun facts about LeeAnn: Her favorite camp pastime is teaching fishing class, she once sat in the front row of the studio audience on “The Price is Right,” and she plays rugby! This will be LeeAnn's twelfth summer at CFAD, and she is stoked to be returning to the shores and to the Junior Unit. As a Unit Director, LeeAnn loves watching her staff utilize their creative energies to come up with new games and activities. Her favorite camp memories have been watching these ideas come to fruition, such as last year’s original evening activity, Evolution Night, and in smaller forms as well such as spontaneous LARPing (live action role play) adventures in the unit during Super Choice.

Freddie Connelly

Senior Unit Director

Years at CFAD: 5

Freddie hails from London, England and has been working at CFAD for five years, entering his second summer as Unit Director. He is excited to use U.S. Dollars again, give out 10,000 caring candles and dance with his assistant Joyce. One of Frieddie's favorite camp memories is from the summer of 2017, when the whole camp applauded after raising the pride flag, which made him shed a tear. He looks forward to being back on the shores with campers old and new!

Lucy Finnighan is joining the CFAD office staff, hailing from Yarm in North Yorkshire, England. She is 20 years old, and is currently studying english literature at York University.
